Examination Of Diagnostic X-Rays:
X-rays help us detect decay, tumors, cysts and bone loss, as well as allow us to get a good view of your teeth and their roots.
Oral Cancer Screening:
Your oral cancer screening will involve a review of the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, tissues and gums for signs of oral cancer.
Gum Disease Evaluation:
We will check your gums and bones for signs of periodontal disease.
Examination Of Tooth Decay:
With dental instruments, we will closely examine the surface of each tooth for sings of decay.
Patients 22+ Can Expect The Following At Their First Visit:
A thorough exam, full-series of x-rays, an oral cancer exam (where we check your mouth for cancer), periodontal charting (where we measure around each tooth to check the health of your gum tissue), and a blood pressure. Initial appointments are approximately 1 ½ hours long.
Once we determine the health of your gum tissue, we will schedule you back for a cleaning. It will depend on the type of cleaning that the doctor recommends.
Patients Under The Age Of 22 Can Expect The Following At Their First Visit:
A thorough exam, cleaning, x-rays*, an oral cancer exam (where we check your mouth for cancer), periodontal charting* (where we measure around each tooth to check the health of your gum tissue), and a blood pressure*. Initial appointments range from 45 – 1 ½ hours long.

Examination of existing restorations
If you have any current fillings crowns, etc. we will check to make sure they are in good shape and functioning properly.
Thorough review of your health history
We will examine your health history and go over our healthy mouth baseline to determine if there are any mouth/body connections.
